This comes from Yangthang Tulku Rinpoche, Gyatrul Rinpoche, Light of Berotsana translators and students gathered here in Alameda California receiving the Rinchen Terdzod Empowerments. The Rinpoches express their sadness with this lose but acknowledge the contribution to the Buddha Dharma and all those who benefit from the doctrine’s presence in our world. Gene was a pioneer in his field and went on to continue to evolve with the times and media to constantly serve the doctrine and all beings with his knowledge and impartial compassion. We all remember our personal encounters with him and how we benefited from that. Gyatrul Rinpoche calls him a bodhisattva and says his work will always continue in whatever way is necessary.
